Both studios have nice large floors, lots of parking and are very accessible from DC, MD and VA.

Crown Dance Studio

2820 Dorr Ave, Fairfax, VA 22031

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) take Route 50 West. Make a right onto Prosperity Ave, go across Route 29 (Lee Highway), make a right onto Hilltop Road and then left onto Dorr Ave. The studio will be located on your left hand side. Please note that the entrance to Crown is on the ground floor - go through the solid door marked Warehouse Area and the ballroom is on your right.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) take Exit 30 or 29A, take Route 29 North (Colesville Road) (It is 3.75 miles North of the Beltway). Continue past New Hampshire Avenue for another mile then turn right onto Industrial Parkway. Make a LEFT into the driveway of the 2nd building on the left. The Hollywood Ballroom is located halfway along the driveway.

International Standard Classes

7:15-8:00pm Silver II Quickstep

Ideal for:-

    * International Bronze syllabus dancers who are ready to progress to the Silver level

    * Silver/Gold/Open level International dancers who want to improve their technique

    * Dancers who are looking for role reversal: followers who want to learn the leaders part and vice versa

8:00-8:45pm Gold Foxtrot

Ideal for:-

    * Dancers who want to learn the Gold figures

    *  Silver/Gold/Open level International dancers who want to improve their technique

    * Dancers who are looking for role reversal: followers who want to learn the leaders part and vice versa

8:45-9:30pm Technique/Drill Class

Each week, I will select an International Standard amalgamation from one or two dances (usually from prior group classes). The pattern will then be demonstrated and broken down. Then each figure will be examined and the technique explained. The grouping is then repeatedly practiced (drilled) to enhance memory and ensure progress. No partner required.

FEB 18   2:00-4:00PM    Developing Foxtrot & Quickstep

Cost: $40 per person per workshop or $30 for F/T students. (sorry, no group class cards accepted at this location)

In these two specially created workshops, Ian will review the major syllabus figures of Waltz,Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep and show how they can be easily developed into more advanced Open material.

- Individual attention will be given to posture, movement and technique

- No partner required.

- Open to all Silver level dancers and above.

- College students welcome.
